Join Knox County Extension Master Gardener Coordinator Rylan Thompson for a live presentation about how to become a Master Gardener Volunteer. Master Gardeners come from a variety of backgrounds and complete training to volunteer in their communities. They serve as a bridge between agriculture extension researchers and members of the community by sharing research-based best practices for growing plants, landscape design, soil science, managing pests and disease, water management, and much more.

During this presentation, you’ll learn about the Master Gardener program, the training you’ll receive from horticultural specialists, and volunteer opportunities in community gardens and local projects. If you’ve ever wondered about how to become a Master Gardener volunteer, now is your chance to ask your questions and meet volunteers already involved in the program.

Training classes begin on January 12, 2021. To join this free introductory online session, please RSVP by email to cthomp55@tnstate.edu or call (865) 215-4593.
