A short (7 min) video on pruning an elderberry. As a fruit bearing cane shrub, any canes older than 3 years should be removed as they no longer bear fruit. After that, there's just a little bit of cleanup of any of the 4 D's: dead, diseased, damaged, dysfunctional.
