Learn to garden! Spaces are still available!

Knox County Master Gardeners will be teaching a class at Burlington Library on March 29, 2025 from 1:30 to 4 PM on Basic Principles of Gardening:  Whether you are new to gardening or need a refresher; whether you want to grow ornamentals or vegetables, you will hear about the basic principles of gardening about how to plan & prep your garden; plant & pamper your plants; and problems because sometimes things don't go the way we want.  Please email classroom@knoxcountymastergardener.org to register.

Saturday, March 29, 2025, please join volunteers from Knox County Master Gardeners, Native Plant Rescue, and Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum (KBGA) for a litter pick-up on the streets surrounding KBGA. Help us look our best for the coming Dogwood Trails season.

Time: Saturday, March 29, 2025, 9:00 AM to noon
Location: Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum, 2743 Wimpole Avenue, Knoxville
Parking: The sign-in table and parking will be across the street from the Martha Ashe Garden on Wimpole Avenue.

Keep Knoxville Beautiful will provide the following equipment:
• Litter Pickers • Gloves • Safety Vests • Trash Bags

We recommend wearing long pants and all volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes. Please bring your own sunscreen, bug protection, and water.

We welcome people of any age who wish to lend a helping hand. After the pick-up take a walk through the Botanical Gardens and enjoy the spring blooming plants. The Dogwood trees should be beginning to bloom. There is no admission fee at the Botanical Gardens.
