About the Project
Local Master Gardeners can offer a window into Tennessee Smart Yards, a residential sustainability certification program that encourages Tennesseans to take small steps in their own yards to make them more enjoyable, manageable and healthier for our environment. By engaging more with our home landscapes, using our senses, and observing the dynamics in our yards and gardens we can better assess opportunities for action. Smart Yards is all about simple shifts in practice that are immediately impactful. We encourage you to certify your yard and join us in encouraging our fellow Tennesseans to embrace this practical and important project for their own space.
