Knoxville Botanical Gardens Area Litter Pick-Up

On Saturday, April 13, 2024, please join volunteers from Native Plant Rescue, and Knoxville Master Gardeners Botanical Garden volunteers for an Earth Day litter pick-up on the streets surrounding the Knoxville Botanical Gardens. The event base will be located at the Knoxville Botanical Gardens and Arboretum at 2743 Wimpole Avenue.
Time: 9:00 AM to noon
Location: Knoxville Botanical Gardens, 2743 Wimpole Avenue
Parking: The sign-in table and parking will be just past the Gardens office on Wimpole Ave.
Keep Knoxville Beautiful will provide the following equipment:
- · Litter Pickers
- · Gloves
- · Safety Vests
- · Trash Bags
We recommend wearing long pants and all volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes. Please bring your own sunscreen, bug protection, and water.
Help: If you have a pick-up truck available, we could use it to help pick up litter bags and bulky objects.
We welcome people of any age who wish to lend a helping hand. After the pick-up take a walk through the Botanical Gardens and enjoy the spring blooming plants. The Dogwood trees should be in full bloom in April. There is no admission fee at the Botanical Gardens.
Master Gardeners: Log your TEMG hours as "Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum" and remember to include your travel time and milage.
